About this listen
In different corners of the world four high-profile figures are assassinated in less than a week. Nobody links the deaths but one thing is certain: each of them has been stalked, sought out, and killed with care and preparation. Then a sinister connection is established: a single, blood-tipped rose is sent to each funeral and an unremarkable female agent is murdered in Switzerland.
When MI5 come to MI6 to ask for help M brings in his best. At first, a weekend abroad seems tempting to James Bond: especially when he's paired with Flicka von Grusse, a gorgeous Swiss intelligence officer. But this is a perilous assignment that starts with the mysterious actor David Dragonpol and leads them to Athens, Milan, and on to EuroDisney...and an explosive climax.

James Bond sponsored by Disney
Some people regard this as the weakest of Gardner's novels. I enjoyed it, but the frequent mentions of Disneyland threw me a bit... And then you discover the entire finale is set at Disneyland Paris, of which a large section of one chapter is spent describing the rides, attractions etc. I'm a huge Disneyland fan but it's a bit too much in a Bond novel... Do we really think Bond would go on Phantom Manor, Star Tours & Pirates of the Caribbean whilst waiting for his objective to begin...? Simon Vance's narration was brilliant, as always, but the story fell a bit flat and not really very "Bond" in the end (despite a very promising premise)

Audio kept jumping forward and cutting out
Unfortunately the above mentioned spoiled the story and made it hard to follow. A great shame

Slow and not very exciting
As 007 adventures go this feels like one of the least that Mr Gardener has written. It feels more like a straight forward detective story with obvious twists.
Simon Vances performance is exemplary as always.

Really Bad Story. Unbelievable plot.
Poor story. Unbelievable and confusing plot. Bond likes Eurodisney. Yeah right. Starts out OK but then gets really lost. Think Horowitz bond books are much better.
