Summary

Molti uomini sono soggetti a pesanti condizionamenti sociali, e il primo e forse più pesante di tutti è quello che li illude di essere fuori da ogni condizionamento, liberi di agire e di decidere grazie al loro libero arbitrio. Nel sistema educativo occidentale già ai bambini viene raccontato che nella vita possono fare tutto, essere ciò che vogliono, a patto di ‘credere nei propri sogni’, o espressioni simili dal tipico valore di luogo comune. Ecco perché in una società piena di desideri di successo e fondamentalmente agonistica, il rifiuto diventa qualcosa di estraneo, di non elaborabile: difficile non solo da subire, ma anche da agire. Attraverso il saggio di un filosofo femminista si indaga tutto questo.
