About this listen
Something big is coming...big enough to destroy the entire solar system...and it's heading straight for Earth. That's what Dr. Ben Rollins, head of Harvard's exoplanet research team, is told by NASA after being dragged out of bed in the middle of the night. His first instinct is to call his daughter and wife, who are vacationing in Italy: Something is coming, he tells them, a hundred times the mass of our sun. We can't see it, we don't know what it is, but it's there. They're calling it Nomad, and it's coming fast. In just a few months, the Earth may be destroyed.
The world erupts into chaos as the end approaches - and Ben discovers that his wife and daughter are trapped in Italy. The key to humanity's survival may rest in the final answers he pieces together in the midst of his frantic scramble to find his family before Nomad swallows the planet.

Convincingly Over the Top
The characters seem unnatural and the plot details insincere. The effort to create suspense is very weak. A shame. Narrator seems okay.

One of the best !!!
Because its a four books series and all my reviews will pretty much the same for each of them, I’ve decided to write one review for all and copy / paste it to all four after I complete listening to the complete series.
One of my favorite ever the Author Matthew Mather is really awesome when it comes to science fiction.
The same talent he used with Nomad that for sure, truly a masterpiece a beautiful series but for an unknown reason it feels like it’s missing one more book to finish the series, its just feels incomplete.
Choosing the Narrator: Keith Szarabajka was without a doubt perfection.
And without a doubt this
Series
Got my full recommendation !

Near miss
A really interesting set of concepts explored in the premise of this book. Alas, it is let down by a fairly forgettable tale that meandered along in places. It hasn’t inspired enough me to follow up on the trilogy as it feels like the author is strong on his background research but weak on developing strong storylines. Perhaps his writing improves as he explores the story in later books.

Mather is so harrowing
I was gripped by this first instalment.
Nomad is haunting me and I have to read on.
Tragically, he was lost to us in Sept 22. RIP

Good Fun
I tiny bit far fetched but good fun. Sort of listen for a beach holiday. Good news there is a follow up too. Happy listening for those that don't want anything taxing.

Enjoyed this and as included free, a double bonus
Enjoyable disaster tale. Characters are bit indulgent but the story kept my attention.

Great story shame about the narrator
Story great. Some plot features a bit obvious but kept me listening to find out if I was right! Science base really well done.
Narrator’s accents terrible so that introduced unnecessary humour - particularly the British and Australian accents.
