Summary

The pulses were just the beginning.

Desperate times

As two worlds reel from a colossal final pulse that cuts off all contact between them, two unimaginable discoveries raise the stakes even further.

In a secret American facility, a power hidden from society for a decade is about to break free.

And something much bigger, buried deep beneath the Scottish Highlands for thousands of years, is about to rise up.

Desperate measures

All hope of restoring the gateway to New Kerguelen lies in exploring the mysterious alien vault.

But once Pandora's box is opened, there's no going back.

The fate of two worlds falls again on Piper McCarthy's young shoulders, but this time her remarkable powers might just be outmatched.

The gate is closed. The vault is open. The trouble is just getting started....

Impressive!!!

Without getting into details, this series keeps getting more and more interesting. Just as you think all has been revealed, the story developes in a way you would have never expected.

Excellent as always

Love this series, always a different thing happening, and so much happening. Love the addition of the new characters (no spoilers) narration, as always spot on. The only bad thing is having to pace myself, and not devour the book. Nope listened to the whole thing over the weekend. Loved it, keep them coming!

Still a fan

no spoilers, I really enjoyed the continuation of the story.
if anything , it feels like there's no real risk and things end up resolving themselves. Well, almost everything.....

Another fantastic story

Such a great author. Twists, turns, laughter, tears. Enjoyed every minute of it. Very well preformed too. I'll be buying extra credits to get the next in the series straight away!

outstanding....AGAIN...

This series just gottan whole lot bigger...
and without any watering down....
Cant wait for more In the series, with this story arc I'm hoping for another 8 books to bash through...
This is without any doubt J.P.Cs best narration and I put him up there with R.C.BRAY & Ray Porter ...the mentle pictures he can create with the different characters is just astonishing....
I highly recommend UDU THE DIGGER...

Hooked on this series

I still love this series but out of the 3 books in this trilogy of trilogies, this has the most issues. A compelling enough story that can be by the numbers at times. The writing tropes that he uses are most apparent in this book. Over explained at times and clinical in the detail, which can spoil the flow. JPC gives each character a voice as well as having a separate narrator voice. Slightly robotic at times but I feel that is down to the writing rather than his performance.

Losing its way

“Slimes politician acts slimeily, everyone is shocked” is a lazily overused trope in this series, and this instalment in particular. It all feels a bit reheated and lacking direction
