Summary

It's not easy being the only human at the Community of Species Government - and especially not when you're the rescue case. Two years ago, I was planning to go to college, have a wild time, then settle into a normal life. Instead, I was kidnapped, spent months being a test subject, was in hiding for nearly a year, and then found out that my whole existence is a science experiment conducted by the bad guys. It's definitely time to reassess.

My rescuers at CSG have been awesome...mostly. They gave me a job, a home, and a support network. But the whole demons, vampires, shifters thing is not easy to get used to. Especially when one particular vampire makes me want to take up stake sharpening for a hobby.

The thing is, teenage mentality or not, Andrew is a fierce protector. With the bad guys still on the loose, I need someone like that on my side. Plus, did I mention that he's not hard to look at?

As we race to find my former captor before he can find me, life takes another twist and upends my world all over again. This time, though, I'm ready - after all, I've got an 800-year-old vampire at my back. What could possibly go wrong?

loved it!

Just as good as the first one. The chemistry between noah and Andrew was explosive. I really liked them together. The narrator was absolutely fantastic.

More Magical Mayhem

This is the second book in the series, following on from Gideon and Sam, so should be read after the first book.
Joel Lesley does his usual stellar performance in this audiobook. The characters are easily distinguishable from each other, and the story of told with passion.
Andrew and Noah have a complex relationship, with lots of chemistry. Hell hounds get up to shenanigans and had guys do bad things.
Easy listen, with lots of laughs along the way.

Brilliant!!

Louisa Masters is brilliant at this genre. The storyline is fluid from Demons Do It Better as well as the characters.

I absolutely loved it as much as the first - Andrew and Noah are such a great fit, especially the snark and humour.

Even ‘The World Of Wangs’ got another mention - so hysterically funny 😆

Joel Leslie is superb as usual 😁

Really can’t wait to hear what happens next!!

Definitely worth 5🌟’s

Fantastic

I'm just leaving the same review for all the books in the series because whilst each book focuses on a different couple there is a continuous storyline and you still see a lot of the other characters.

These books are brilliant. I have never laughed out loud more at a book than I have with these.
I love the whole set up of the world and the different species. The whole series is really well written and all of the characters are unique.

The narration is incredible and it wouldn't be hard to believe there was a full cast of narrators instead of just one.

Highly recommend.

Awesome

The voices Joel came up with the characters in The first book were so on point for these characters. His talent shows through in how he’s able to continually maintain Andrews accent. A brilliant book brilliantly narrated.

Such a great book/audio

Noah and Andrew all the way, ha ha. Love these characters.

Brilliantly humorous and a well-written paranormal book.

On Facebook, someone compared Louisa's writing to Alice Winters, and I have to say she is def on par, if not better, well written, full of humour loved the world-building and detail. I would highly recommend it. The characters are so well written, good backstories, you feel like you know them personally, and I love that in a book.

I loved the narration by Joel Leslie, but he is one of my favourite narrators. I did not need to speed up on Audible to 1.00, this is very unusual for me.
