About this listen

From the top-10 best-selling author of Beneath a Frosty Moon, Rita Bradshaw, comes One Snowy Night, a sweeping family saga set in the inter-war period.

It’s 1922, and the Depression is just beginning to rear its head in Britain, but Ruby Morgan is about to marry her childhood sweetheart, and nothing can mar her happiness. Or so she thinks. An unimaginable betrayal by those she loves causes her to flee her home and family one snowy night.

Crushed and heartbroken, Ruby vows that despite the odds stacked against her, she will not only survive but one day will show the ones she left behind that she’s succeeded in making something of herself. Brave words, but the reality is far from easy.

Dangers Ruby could never have foreseen and more tragedy threaten her new life, and love always seems just out of reach. Can a happy ending ever be hers?

Brilliantly written and read!!

They’ve done it again! Rita Bradshaw is an accomplished author and has chosen Julia Barrie to bring the story to life!!
I couldn’t stop listening.
The characters were so real. It was like watching a film. 10/10. She has only written one story that was less than brilliant- because it was so depressing even though characters were well drawn. It was ‘ Dancing in the moonlight. ‘
