Summary

First, Patrick receives a DVD in the post. It shows footage of him and his wife, Ariana, walking, dressing, going to work - all filmed by cameras hidden in their house. Someone is clearly out to get him. And then the email arrives: GO ALONE. TELL NO ONE. DO WHAT WE SAY. OR SHE DIES.

Patrick’s life is turned upside down. Suddenly this has become a matter of life and death.

Twists and turns made this a gripping listen

Yes Hurwitz excels once more , intelligent and well thought out ,almost believable plot . Scott Brick brought this to life for me as always . Thank you

Irritating Tory and performance

The performance was dull and one dimensional. The key character unappealing and his actions unconvincing . Lost interest and gave up halfway through.

Hooked from start to finish 🤔😊

Finding someone with an interesting voice doing audio books, is my main problem!
After listening to all the Jack Reacher series- I realised it wasn’t just the books that kept me interested, it was Jeff Harding’s voice.
So I put his name in the search bar, and now an thoroughly Enjoying Gregg Hurwitz books😊 make a working day pass with ease😜
Great book, great twists🤔🤔🤔👍😜

A good 'all rounder.'

An interesting plot, a bit padded towards the end and brought to a conclusion a little too rapidly, but wrapped up well with the final summary. As usual, Jeff Harding's narration made it.

Outstanding

Captivating throughout just enough detail without slowing the pace. Really enjoyed yet another great offering from Gregg.

Slow to start but not that bad

You drag it out to chapter 11 and it turns out to be a intriguing listen .
As I bought it on a £1.99 meal 🥘 of the day it was ok 👌

Very slow and unbelievable

Made it about 2/3 but realised I really didn't care and I've better books waiting .. obvious the 'underdog' was gonna win and the whole premise of the story was ridiculous so really didn't care how.

Really enjoyable!

I love the “Orphan X” series but find the stand alone novels a little hit and miss but this was really enjoyable.

Likeable characters to care about, which I need in a novel. Parts you can see before the characters do but also suspense and intrigue.

And Jeff Harding! Enough said!

"No privacy anymore"

Previously entitled 'They're watching,' 'Or she dies' is a thriller of two parts, the first being intriguing, frightening even, which then descends into a rather banal life and death chase: the hopelessness of the little man alone against gargantuan odds: with a sigh this reader ridged onwards, knowing the inevitability that, of course, he would win, nevertheless. After all, this is fiction. But suspension of disbelief can be carried only so far...

Scott Brick's narration goes a long way to help the reader get through it to the very end. But oh, how I wish the author had cut several of the fourteen hours by reducing the second half.

Found it slow and boring

Enemy of the state feel but slower and I found it quite boring. At no point did I feel an urge to get back to the book.
