Summary

Do you need my help?
It was always the first question he asked.
They called him when they had nowhere else to turn.

Raised and trained as part of a top-secret programme, he was sent to the worst places in the world to do things his government denied any knowledge of.

Then he broke with the programme and disappeared. But now someone's on his tail. Someone who knows he was once known simply as Orphan X.

Gripped from word 1

This is a book you want to end so you know what happens but you don't want to end because it's so good. Scott Brickputs his usual enthusiasm into the narration and I bought the next book of the series before even getting to the end of this one as I want to know what happens to Evan next.

Wow. Greg Hurwitz does it again

I have read one other book by this author and I wasn't expecting to feel the same reaction. This is full of twists and turns and I'm glad I had it as an audio rather than a physical book as some of the descriptions were hard to imagine. It was a cross between The Woodcutter and I am Pilgrim. My only gripe was that I would have liked a bit more background on the main character and how he came to be an orphan as well as background on the programme he was on. I am also left wondering what happened to him. If you are a fan of this type of book, then you will enjoy this one

Gripping and excellent

I was completely drawn in from the first few words. I haven't read such a good book for ages. Couldn't put it down. Yes Evan is implausible but I don't want reality I want superman with a heart and that's what I got. Narration was excellent as well. Have just bought Nowhere Man can't wait to begin.

superb

fast paced, engrossing qnd addictive storyline. not my genre but the chapters flew by so quickly it was hard to register. fast forwarded through some violent bits loosing none of the tension or story. the narrator was incredible and really believable. thoroughly enjoyed the book even though I don't think I this genre is for me and would recommend it to others.

A different twist

Having read a number of good reviews I was looking forward to the book. I was not disappointed.

I am now going to see if there are any more in the series!

Good characters and reasonable story. Not totally predictable.

Fantastic.

This audio book was an outstanding listen, i picked it up as a daily deal. Wow what a great start to a series, so much so i purchased the next in the series. It kind of reminds me of vince flynn and David Archer. If you are looking for a good book to loose your self in then this is the book for you, there is action from the first page and right up until the very end.

A poor man's Victor The Assassin

I mean, schoolboy error, NEVER put your back to a cafe/restaurant window. Tom Wood's Victor the Assassin series is better thought out, better written and more, you know, 'pro', but this is still enjoyable fluff. I've already downloaded part 2, and it is more than good enough to while away hours on the motorway.
Edit: The series gets better with book 3 & 4. Halfway through book 5 and love it. L.O.V.E. I.T.

Brilliant...

Loved it. Scott Brick is an excellent narrator and always brings a book to life. Will be looking for more by this author.
