Summary
Vědecko - fantastický román s prvky hororu nese významné morální a filozofické poselství. Kde jsou hranice mezi morálním a nemorálním jednáním člověka? Na opuštěném ostrově kdesi v Pacifiku "šílený vědec" doktor Moreau provádí ďábelské genetické pokusy na zvířatech, které díky svým vědomostem dokáže měnit v poloviční lidi. Mladý námořník Andrew Braddock, se snaží s doktorovou schovankou Marií pomoci ubožákům uprchnout. Téma je vysoce aktuální i v dnešní době genetického inženýrství a klonování.
