About this listen
Love, the deadliest of all deadly things. It kills you when you have it. And when you don't.
I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her. I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame.
Pandemonium is a poignant, explosive, recklessly romantic, and utterly heart-breaking novel. Like Delirium, the first in the compelling trilogy, it will take you to the very edge. That's all you need to know. We'll let Lena do the rest of the talking.

Wrong order
Considering I read this one first I thought it stood up well as a stand alone book and easily made it to the end without reading the previous book, although I did next.

Brain dead listen :)
Okay so I finished the second one in this trilogy, and I am still not exactly sure what I think of this series - its a very easy book to get through and it is enjoyable as a light read.
The problem with this book is that it is very repetitive, Lena has the same vivid emotions described over and over again - either in her panic or pain, mostly as a result of her own clumsiness. Also the story has a lot of similarities to the hunger games (so I am hoping the ending won't be a disappointment like the hunger games)!
It also feels very Unrealistic, for someone that should live her life being cautious, Lena trusts everyone, and blabs everything to anyone willing to listen - its a wonder she hasn't died yet.
But if you want to read about a girl who is completely irrational and destined to be in turmoil... This is the book for you. Gosh if I walked around feeling like she does when I was younger, I am definitely happy to be passed that phase!

Addictive story. Didn't want to stop listening.
What made the experience of listening to Pandemonium the most enjoyable?
The story-line keeps you engaged without being too complicated. Oliver presumes that we know about the society and does not repeat herself too much! We are introduced to some great new characters too!
What other book might you compare Pandemonium to, and why?
Pandemonium is similar to books like The Hunger Games and Divergent. It has the same themes and audience.

O.M.G-YOU MUST READ 'PANDEMONIUM'
A fabulous read, very quickly follows on from 'Dilirium', not at all as i expected in book 2, but a very interesting read, you won't want to put this one down, but when you get the the last page, you will be asking where is book 3, what a cliff hanger!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant Book
Firstly I would like to say that I am not a "young adult" I am 33 years old. I loved this book.
You have to have read the first book Delirium, which is also very good.
The characters have depth, which is good as you feel you get to undertand them a bit. The story goes from 'Then' to 'Now' chapter to chapter which at first is frustrating but after a while works well.
Lana is a little frustrating as at times I find her dull and a bit stupid. I know the main character is only 18 but I find it hard to think of this book as a teen book as some of the issues and violence are very much adult themes. There is a lot of death in the book which fits in with the serious story line.
I was hooked to this audio and when it ended I was disappointed the next book is not yet released. The cliff hanger at the end was obvious to me, but maybe not to all, certainly made you want to know the next story.
A great book. thanks.

Fab book, if predictable
I thought this book was a good sequel to Delirium however, as with Delirium it was very predictable and obvious as to what would happen. Despite this I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and luckily the american accent of the narrator was not to grating at all! I would recommend and an easy listen so long as you pay attention, the switching from "Now" to "Then" confused me to no end for some few chapters :)
