New Understanding of ODD
I had never heard of Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) prior to coming across this audiobook. I knew I had a very difficult child/teen that I raised but never had a name to match with behavior until now. This amazing book has taught me how to understand what exactly ODD is, and how we can treat it as a family. I was really excited to hear about self-regulation skills that we can start to incorporate immediately! It is tough that my teen is getting older, but I think there is still time to implement the strategies in this book to make lasting and impactful changes.

Understand your child
Let's be honest, parenting is challenging whether your child is diagnosed with disorders or not. Not only do parents have to manage responsibilities outside of the home, but they also have to stay on top of their children's education. if you're new to this topic, this book helps parents open their eyes to potential mental disorders their children might be struggling with. You can only come up with a better plan when you know what you're dealing with. I particularly appreciate the chapter discussing the insurance plan. It's already expensive to raise a child, let alone a child with special needs. The information takes the guesswork out of the equation and helps parents navigate through the complex insurance system.
