easy listening

if your a DandD or fantasy fan,you already know the formula.
predicable so far definitely no challenges or surprises but im really enjoying it.
elf coming of age meaning a young adult for and elf being 50 yrs old.
narration has a lot to do with how much im enjoying this book and the characters.
off to download book 2.

Really enjoyable!

I got this book for free under the plus category as I needed something to listen to while I waited for my credit date.

I thought I would give this a try before purchasing the book I wanted with my credit and really enjoyed it! I am now going to use my credit to buy the next book instead of the other book I wanted as I enjoyed this so much.

I will probably get the whole saga as the 3rd book is also free and no say it will draw me in!

Great world and great characters. The performance was great too easy to listen to not an annoying narrator like some books.

Solid fantasy really well narrated

Got this free with my membership so was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. So good I bought the sequel.
This is classic fantasy with some cool ideas read by a chap who delivers like a less melodramatic Scott Brick.
Highly recommend.

Loved it

I absolutely loved this book. It pulled me in from the very beginning and has just left me wanting more. I found the characters fascinating, especially Fel’annar, and loved the world it was set in. The authors writing style was fantastic. I honestly can’t wait to listen to the second book.
The narrator speaking voice is very good. My only niggle was that he read Fel’annar’s voice very softly which wasn’t how I imagined him to speak. But like I said, it’s a tiny niggle for someone who was otherwise a very good narrator. To be honest, the story is so good even a bad narrator wouldn’t of stopped me from listening to it, and there’s no book yet where that’s happened. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

what a series!!

I write this on the first book as I've listened to the entire series, and what a series it was, performance was amazing and the character depth was impeccable, the story only got a 4* in my opinion, there was a lot of emotion throughout but majority was sadness with the good byes and the sad speeches, never really had the F*** yeah moment of joy and happiness as I could kinda guess what was gonna happen next typical hero never dies etc, some things were left un said at the end and I wish they was for closer, also never really had a favourite character, but saying that would 100% recommend this series specially as the first 3 are free! if you like LOTR this is up your street! out of the 73 titles in my library this is in top 10.

Take a back seat Tolkien. There’s a new tale of elves

I read this book and was transported. This is a well crafted and brilliant start to an eagerly awaited sequel. I decided to listen to it second time around and wasn’t disappointed I highly recommend this series in any format. A definite favourite.
