Percy is a hero
I absolutely loved this audiobook! I listened to it every day and late into the night! I didn't dislike a bit of it! I loved every bit. I would recommend this book to age 6+ as some of it has long words and gruesome deaths! I didn't mind though,I thought it was EXCELLENT!!! I chose this rating because the reading was read perfectly,it was exciting and there was no glitches or things going wrong! I can't wait/listen to the next audiobook/book!😊

Disappointing narrator
I love the book, as with all Riordan’s previous work but Jesse Bernsteins performance as the narrator was pretty disappointing. As someone who has listened to his rendition of the previous books in this series I take issue with his need to rely upon stereotypes in his voice acting so much. The affected accents for certain characters of other ethnicities takes away some of the work done by the author to offer an inclusive repertoire of characters.
I worry about the decision to cast Bernstein when it is clear to me that any number of other narrators would have been able to do justice to the books without relying on such affected stereotypes. I only wish there was an alternative to this particular narrator.
