About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
When raising a puppy, we all want to make sure we're doing it right, but sometimes the unrealistic expectations of perfection can be overwhelming. The truth is no one is perfect, so cut yourself a little slack; bringing up a puppy who's imperfectly perfect for you makes much more sense.
Having worked with more than 5,000 dogs, Graeme Hall has a unique understanding of the early developmental period. Now he is here to help with his stress-free guide to training and caring for your puppy so that they grow into a happy, well-adjusted dog. From choosing the right puppy for your lifestyle (including the benefits of a rescue or disabled puppy) and preparing for them to come home, to the crucial socialisation period, early training and adolescence, Graeme covers everything you need to know. All whilst providing useful insight and research into puppy behaviour that will prevent problems later in life.
Perfectly Imperfect Puppy gives expert advice on how you can give your puppy the best start, breaking down why techniques work so you get the best results, leading to a happy home for everyone.

Very helpful
I'm a big fan of Graeme's TV show so thought this would be great to read before we get our new puppy. It's full of detailed, practical advice and I feel so much more prepared after listening to the book.
I loved Graeme's delivery of the book... it's so conversational which makes it such an easy listen.

Practically perfect
We’ve got a new puppy arriving next week and I’ve been reading up.
Of all of the books, from the puppy primer to dummies puppies, this has been by far the best.
Sensible advice and training in simple easy steps. Co-operative rather than coercive training.
I would highly recommend.

Truly enjoyable to listen to and it really works
This book is a God send I recently bought a puppy and she is delightful training her is a charm but I could not get her to lay down at all. I’ve cracked it and I got so much more than I had bargained for. I would recommend this book to any new dog owner that doesn’t know a variety of training tactics (like myself). This gives more than one way to teach you pup new tricks. I have already sent to so many people I know with pups and even adult dogs. Really good tips and tricks with a comical element that makes it all the more easy to follow and see results literally instantly. My baby has learnt to lay down in 15 mins and it stuck. Really very pleased

Perfectly Imperfect Puppy
I really enjoy watching Graeme on Dogs Behaving Very Badly. He's not only good with dogs but he's also very good with people and I think he is a good trainer too. I love listening to Graeme's books because it's just like watching the TV show with the same sense of fun. It's quite clear that Graeme enjoys his job and takes pride in helping people and giving them good advice.

Great advice delivered pragmaticly
Great advice delivered pragmaticly by a straight talking Yorkshire man. Common sense and debunking some of the modern fads and older myths about dog training.
if you're already commited to a new puppy or just thinking about it then read/listen to this first.
