Les instruments à cordes jouent un très beau thème qui représente Pierre, tandis que la flûte représente l'oiseau, le hautbois le canard, le basson grognon le grand-père, la souple clarinette le chat et enfin les cors le loup. Tout est bien qui finit bien dans une marche triomphale scandée par les timbales.
