About this listen

The delightful, enchanting story of Precious Ramotswe’s very first case, read by Adjoa Andoh. What would you do if someone was stealing things from your friends? Would you try and find out who the thief was? Once upon a time in Botswana in Africa, there was a little girl called Precious. She would grow up to be famous as Precious Ramotswe of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, but she had to solve her first mystery while still at school. Who has been taking things that don’t belong to them, and how can Precious make sure the wrong person doesn’t get the blame?

Lovely

Lovely story, with a great introduction to Precious's character, and build up to the main story of her detective agency...

Excellent story brilliantly performed

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. I bought it for the children (aged 6 and 4) to listen to while driving and it was a real hit with everybody in the car.
Adjoa Andoh's performance is highly entertaining.
Don't hesitate! We can't wait to listen to the others.

Short story, just

As well written and performed as all the earlier books but not worth the expenditure of a credit, particularly as the return of books seems to have been suspended.
