Summary
Gymnasialprofessor Raat, allgemein nur "Professor Unrat" genannt, kompensiert seine mangelnde Autorität mit drakonischer Härte. Als er einen aufmüpfigen Schüler wieder mal in das "Kabuff" sperrt, entdeckt er in dessen Heften eine anzügliche Zeichnung von der stadtbekannten Rosa Fröhlich. Angeblich um die moralische Hygiene seiner Schüler besorgt, sucht er die verruchte "Barfußtänzerin" auf.
Schnell macht sich die in der Verführung geübte Rosa den tyrannischen Chauvinisten gefügig. Als Raat sie sogar zu heiraten wagt, wird er unehrenhaft aus dem Schuldienst entlassen. Auf Rache sinnend verwandelt er sein Haus in eine lüsterne Vergnügungsstätte, in der er die ganze Stadt mit sich in den Ruin reißen will. Doch dann verliebt sich Rosa in seinen ehemaligen Schüler Lohmann, und Raat sieht rot.
