Lex Atron ist ein mächtiger Wissenschaftsmogul, über den trotz seiner Berühmtheit nur wenig bekannt ist, und Remon eine moderne Großstadt, in der seit vielen Jahren ein Pilotprojekt der Weltenallianz läuft: Protos, ein gigantisches Neuronales Netz, verwaltet mithilfe eines Heeres von Robotern die komplette Infrastruktur der Stadt. Noch ahnt niemand, was für eine gefährliche Kette von Ereignissen Takimos und Nouis Aufenthalt in Remon auslösen wird.
