About this listen
It’s hard to outrun the ghosts of your past when you can talk to the dead...
Leigh Raelyn should be burned at the stake. Not only did she cause the deaths of her family — she’s also a Lunar witch, bonded with the outlawed element, aether. But hiding an illicit gift is almost impossible when you’re next in line for the throne, and her supply of magical suppressants is dwindling.
So, when she discovers a way to surrender her title, Leigh seizes her chance.
Wilder Dunn will do whatever it takes to ascend the ranks of the Borealis Blades — so long as it gives him the power to bring his sister’s killers to their knees. But as the son of a traitor, he is failing to gain favor with the Council. When Wilder agrees to protect the princess ahead of her coronation, he hopes to prove fealty to authority. Until he discovers the real reason for his employment...
With Wilder’s help, Leigh goes in search of her throne-bargaining secret: the truth behind Corona’s centuries-old peace treaties. But as the pair spiral closer to a realm-shattering revelation, only one thing is clear: to fix the world order they need to break it...and possibly, their own hearts too.

Raise Hell
Raise Hell is the first book in The Eleventh Hour series. This is my first Brit KS book, but defiantly won't be my last. Leight is next in line for the Royal Crown. However, she is doing everything to prevent that from happening. She is also hiding the fact that she is a Luna Witch. Wilder is hired to protect her. He is trying to raise his ranks. I really enjoyed this book.
M. K. Blackwood and Walker Willams did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Intriguing Romantasy! Great Story & Narration🎧
This is an intriguing fantasy romance with incredible world building and fascinating paranormal characters that include various types of witches and vampires, living in a kingdom of royalty and where hierarchy matters. Leigh Raelyn was born into royalty and is next in line for the throne, except she is hiding a big secret, one that could get her killed. She is not your typical royal princess, going to places no royals should go , and making friends in low places, in the underground, ones who can not be trusted, or can they? For the sake of herself and her family she needs to find an out and not be he next queen, but she uncovers more than she bargained for, luckily she has some on her side, some she never expected, but then again there are betrayals from some she never expected or saw coming too. Wilder Dunn is on a mission of vengeance, to work his way up in the ranks so he could avenge his sister’s death, and he finds his way in when he gets assigned to keep Leigh safe. There was an instant attraction between Wilder and Leigh, and with similar goals, the two wind up making a great team. This is a fast-moving, cleverly plotted story with a lot of layers and non-stop drama, angst, action, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Brit KS, thanks for this adventurous and entertaining story.
🎧📚🎧 M.K. Blackwood and Walker Williams were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took each role and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Blackwood’s Leigh was fierce and perfectly bad-arse, and Williams nailed it as Wilder, also showcasing his personality perfectly. Both were fabulous performing the roles of all the secondary characters too. Their pacing and tone were right for the story, and they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that elevates the story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another fantastic listen.
