Exceptional Resource!
This book is an exceptional resource – I now feel prepared to begin raising chickens. I especially like the sections about busting myths about chickens, foods that I should not feed my chickens, how to clean my chicken coop, and chicken hierarchy. Unlimited Eggs!!
I love eating eggs. So when I saw this audiobook it was calling to me. It is laid out perfect. starting with what you should know about laws leading into how to choose chicks for things like weather and egg production or for meat. The author walks you through all aspects of raising backyard chickens. Great chapters on dispelling myths to learning how to feed and care for their health. With the 30-day guide and several free plans to build a coop, I can't wait to be eating my own fresh eggs. Recommended for anyone who loves eggs!

Fantastic guide!
I feel like I am a chicken expert after listening to this, even though I've never handled one lol! Thanks to this book, I think I can now look at ill chickens without fear. I’m very excited to start raising them, feeding them, and harvesting their organic eggs. I like the idea that this is not only beneficial for our health but it can also be a potential side income. It feels like I could go ahead and start a chicken farm right now. I told my parents about it and they are both excited to spend their retirement with the chicken.

Great beginner information
More and more people are getting backyard chickens; my family has been no different. We decided that we wanted to be able to raise our own chickens for eggs. I can't quite bring myself to raise them for meat but that is the goal eventually. The book is pretty well organized, and I feel like it covered all of my questions. 2 big concerns for me were choosing the right chickens and ensuring I had the appropriate housing for them so that they would be productive. Chapter 6 was interesting as it was not something I really thought about which is the pecking order. I knew it was a real thing but I didn't know how I would deal with it if it happened or prevent it from happening if I could. The chapter covered many details that should help me mitigate territorial disputes.
Overall, it is a really good book with great details that people who are newer to backyard chickens should find a lot of use for. Country Chickens vs Backyard Chickens brings its own unique rules and design, so this is a good book to make sure you are set up for success.
