About this listen
Lyric
We never had a chance, him and me. We were ruined before we began. And now? We were still just as broken, but I needed his help. My feelings for Gabriel Romero would remain locked away because to navigate through the tangled mess of my life, they had to. Besides, some things can’t be fixed, and we were irreparably damaged. I’d made sure of that long ago.
Gabriel
The woman responsible for destroying me had returned, even more devastatingly beautiful than I remembered. However, she wasn’t in Seattle for the reasons I wanted. No. A blind man could see she was scared but lying about something. Now I had to end the monsters of my past, find out what she was hiding, and get Lyric to admit she still loved me. Should be easy, right? Yeah…

Lyric & Gabriel
I’ve been eagerly waiting for Gabriel and Lyric’s story for months and it did not disappoint! It was all I was expecting and more: it’s fast paced, suspenseful, a bit spicy (love it) and unputdownable. I just want to know more about these characters and the ones yet to come.
Thank you D, M and Eric for creating and narrating this fantastic world that is Delta Security.

Action packed romance
Childhood friends turned lovers is one of my favorite tropes. Through a series of twists and turns, Lyric and Gabriel's way back to each other is detailed in this book. There's a lot of intrigue, some cartel involvement, and plenty of spice. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, but this could definitely be read as a standalone. Narration was excellent. I'm glad the same narrators as 1.5 were used. That kind of continuity is much appreciated.

Outstanding Story, Characters & Narration🎧
D.L. Lane created something very special when she created her “Delta Security” series and I love, love, loved the books that came before this, starting with Cowboy and Tinsley’s story, the prequel and first book, and then “Lyric”, book 1.5, which is the start of Lyric and Gabriel’s story. “Reaper” is a continuation of their story and was ecstatic to hear the wait was over for it and to have it in my ears. Worth the wait? Heck yeah! Reaper aka Gabriel quickly became one of my favorite characters in this series after meeting him in the first book and in my eyes he has proven himself over and over, heck all the guys in Delta Security have. Gabriel lost the one thing that mattered to him in life, Lyric, and in this book she returns and we find out what happened to her, why, and how she disappeared. Wow, this book just blew me away, and once I started I could not stop because I needed to know what happened next. It is an action-packed and multilayered story with non-stop drama, twists and turns galore, some angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful, meant to be romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. D.L. Lane, thank you for another amazing story and the wild emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 M.K. Blackwood and Eric Bryan Moore deliver another outstanding performance, bringing the characters to life, giving them their voices and humanizing them with their personalty. Their character voices have been consistent and I love how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. They continue to nail it as the two lead characters, Moore as Gabriel and Blackwood as Lyric, both showcasing all sides of their personality, and they are just as fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These voice artists are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Great storyline with many emotions
I was really looking forward to Gabriel's and Lyric's story.
The two meet again 10 years after Lyric disappeared. Neither of them had an easy time, but the spark and the desire for each other never died out.
Lyric had her reasons, but as soon as she returns, Gabriel quickly realizes that she is being followed. And his uncle, who runs a shady business, also contacts Gabriel, which doesn't bode well.
The story is interesting and exciting and kept me hooked from start to finish. There are a few hot scenes, and there were lots of emotions. I was able to empathize with the two main protagonists very well. There were romantic moments, but also infinitely sad moments.
The story has unforeseen twists and turns, which makes for an entertaining read.
The two narrators have brought the book to life. I have to give a huge compliment to the two narrators M.K. Blackwood and Eric Bryan Moore because they did an outstanding narration! The way they voiced Lyric and Gabriel! Wonderfully fitting! You can really feel the emotions with their voices. The two were just perfect! I was glad the same narrators as in Lyric read this book. It was a pleasure to listen to them.
Highly recommended!
