About this listen
Denni was married to her job and she'd never regretted it. As her friends and family pair off, she's left a little lonely, but long hours and her dedication have kept anyone from wanting to hang around long.
Stacy felt that pull the first time he saw her. But his brother had seen her, and asked her out, first. It's tricky water but Stacy suspects it will be worth the risk to get to know Denni. But is she willing?
See if Denni and Stacy can figure things out if their own hang ups will keep them from finding out what could be.
Welcome to Highland County, where we take our heroes seriously.

Romancing
Bump Turgeson narration is perfect for this book. Bringing out the warmth and range of feelings .
This a short listen but the storyline is well-paced and with a smooth flow. The characters are charming and likable.
We find out about Denni story. She dated Tracy, Stacy’s brother but things did not work out. Stacy has feelings for Denni. Will these two take a chance on each other?
A lovely romance

The tidy bow at the end of a series!
This audiobook took the series in a full circle and returned to some of the secondary characters that were featured in the first book. This is Denni and Stacey's story, two characters the audience was first introduced to in the first book, Waking Up Cuffed. In fact, it is better, though not entirely necessary, to read or listen to the books in order because there are references to events from earlier books.
That said, this audiobook is short and sweet and resembles a tidy bow that ties the series together. These characters are both complex, ambitious and haven't had much luck with romance in the past. Not that they settle for each other. In fact, it is who they are and what they have experienced that allows them to be together in a healthy HEA.
This book is quick and easy to listen to and I thoroughly enjoyed Bump Turgeson's narration of the story.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
