About this listen
With the System States Union now crushed and Trojan's new Empire on the rise, former foes become allies in a desperate attempt to prevent not only the collapse of human civilization but also the complete extermination of humanity at the hands of a diabolical new power player. Is salvation really possible, or was it all just rumors?
Rumors of Salvation contains strategic and tactical space battles as part of the grand vista of an interstellar war from the point of view of both high-level strategy and up-close-and-personal fighting.

Much Better
This series was not easy to listen to, I was not able to know where the action was all of the time. However this book had z much better story line and i always knew what place in the galaxy we were at. Much better thank you.

Thinking Story
This is not a series to listen to in separation from each book to appreciate the story needs to be listened to consequently to keep up with the story I enjoyed the scope of the story

Now we are taking about.
The author Dietmar Wehr have done a much better job on this last of the trilogy.
Beautiful action as space battles, twists and unknowns.
As usual Jeffrey Kafer narration is beautifully done for each of the characters.
My full recommendations !

Great Premise, shakily executed
The overall plot of this book, and the series, is generally decent. The narrator makes a great job of it, if I’m honest bringing more interest than is strictly warranted by the raw material.
As others have noted, this book seems to have a really rushed ending which leaves the impression there was meant to be more to the series.
It’s hard to ignore that the series as a whole is plagued with numerous plot holes, some of which are filled by deus ex machina usually in the form of coincidence or a convenient tech discovery out of the blue, but some are still left hanging. I’ve put a few at the end of this review under a spoiler tag.
HOWEVER… I did listen to all three books back to back and I would probably listen to more from the author. This series is nearly ten years old now and hopefully the rough edges have been smoothed off in his later works. The underlying premise is good, and who doesn’t like a nice chunky space opera series?
**SPOILERS**
I found it hard to reconcile how the all powerful enemy computer seems to go from omnipotence to making stupid mistakes seemingly at random. Or how the implant chip resisted even the thought of removing it, but was completely fooled by a very obvious deception allowing the final victory.
The big one for me though was that the implant chip compelling people to act was ‘just’ a pain inducer. Characters instantly went completely against their fundamental nature rather than taking any kind of stand EG by attempting suicide. Staunch defenders of Earth enabled a bioweapon attack that would kill them too, the desperate rebels who made any sacrifice for the cause suddenly give up all the secrets. Not very convincing.

amazing book, but the ending spoiled it.
loved the series non stop listening. But the ending needs to be rewritten spoils the whole series. the ending was rushed and a potential really exciting part of the book was just shorten down and ended quick as possible it's a shame.

Truly dull
The first two books were not bad, the story bumped along and I certainly wanted to get to the third part. Once I did, what a disappointment! I’ve barely finished and already I’ve pretty much forgotten all about it. Its description without a story, words with no meaning, prose with no sense. Best avoided.
