Summary
He has always been the hunter. He is about to become the prey.
For years, DCI Robert Kett has tracked down the country’s most dangerous kidnappers and serial killers, earning a reputation as the best man to call to catch the worst men.
The tables are about to turn.
When somebody starts brutally murdering the people that Kett has put behind bars—and the ones that he wasn’t able to catch—it seems as if there is a vigilante on the loose.
Tasked with keeping one of these criminals alive, Kett starts to understand that something far more dangerous is going on.
Because this killer isn’t just coming after the bad guys.
He’s coming after Kett, too.

Alex Smith wrote his first book when he was six. It wasn’t particularly good, but it did have some supernatural monsters in it. His latest books, the DCI Robert Kett thrillers, have monsters in them too, although these monsters are very human, and all the more terrifying for it. In between these two books, he has published 13 novels for children and teenagers under his full name, Alexander Gordon Smith—including the best-selling series Escape From Furnace, which is loved by millions of listeners worldwide, and is soon to become a motion picture. He lives in Norwich with his wife and three young daughters.

Another good one
A lot of rushing about and scene or people changing but I great story nonetheless.

More please
I didn't think after listening to 4 books that it could get any better. But no 5 was another one to top the rest.
Waiting in anticipation for book 6.

Hurry Up and get the rest on here! lol
Brilliant story. I loved it! I don't get a chance to sit down and read, so audible books are my go-to when I'm running here there and everywhere, but I seriously need the rest in the series loaded already, lol! Great continuation from the past books, and I can't wait to hear more from the team! There's some proper LOL moments throughout the book, which not only add 'the real human touch' to the characters, it helps lift an otherwise very dark tale. I do end up looking a little deranged, walking around Tesco in fits of laughter, though, so take that was your warning! :)

Who are the bad guys?
This book had me from the first line! Such a twisted plot! Can't imagine how Kett and his family are going to get through any more fear and skullduggery! I suppose I will just have to listen to book 6 😆

Little slow on the beginning but makes up for it after
Love love love!! The plot is amazing and I would never have guest it. Lost of action, just the beginning was a little slow but it really makes up for it.

very bad in my opinion
I've listened to all of them so far and this is by far the worst book in my opinion. I can't write too much so that I don't spoil it for those who haven't listened to it yet but I was so disappointed and angered by Claire, Savage, Porter and everyone else. Even Kett acted like an idiot doormat taking everyone's sh*t like that.

Could have been good
If the writer would realise that better differentiation between the voice of the characters would negate the need for so many ‘he said, she said’ attributions. I just couldn’t listen to it all the way through. I felt sorry for the narrator.

Run Rabbit Run
After Run Rabbit Run’s long anticipated release on Audible, I can’t help but feel it was a little weak in comparison to Alex Smith’s first 4 DCI Kett books.
Without going into detail/spoiling the plot, I feel like we never really got into the gritty details of the murders, or the killers themselves. It all felt a little ‘surface’.
Perhaps it’s setting number 6 up…
I’ll always be a loyal Alex Smith reader, and despite a lower review, I still enjoyed listening to the story & Tim Bruce’s narration.
Looking forward to number 6’s release!
