Three great cases
I loved this box set. You get three great mysteries straight after each other, so the fun can continue and as each book continues on from the last it feels like one big adventure, despite the cases being very different. I read the first book and knew I would be getting the series on audible. So glad I did. I like the unusual job aspect to this book. With all the cozy mysteries out there I think this is the first one where the amateur sleuth is a park ranger, this leads to some interesting situations and cases. I really like the characters, despite every male falling in love with the main character. Otherwise Just a fun book. I hope it won't be too long before the rest of the series is on audible
Catfished
Like the title says it involves fishing but if like me you are not a fisherman don't let it put you off, as the author doesn't go into any great length explaining different fish or anything. Its more a reason of why the murder occurred. I had worked out who the killer was despite the number of suspects but to be honest I liked it because of the characters and in particular the funny situations the main character found herself. Although I am not sure I could picture her as a fire fighter, she doesn't have the confidence or luck for the job. .
Rylie after a break up with her boyfriend finds herself back home living with her parents and looking for a new job. When she sees an add for a summer park ranger job she applies. But the job isn't what she thought it was, getting hit on hot park ranger guys, getting pepper sprayed, falling in the river and then she discovers a dead body. The rest of the rangers thinks she is a screw up and there is no way she will get the permanent job, unless she catches a killer.
Suckered
I enjoyed this one the most I think because the ending came as a surprise but made so much sense when the killer was revealed.
Rylie is still after the full time park ranger position but with an escaped killer lose in the park and being signed up for tinder, she will have do something impressive to get the job? Like catch a killer? Then a body is discovered and the police start looking at Rylie's new tinder match. Can she really be dating a killer?
Throttled
I liked how Rylie and Nicky had to over come there difference in this book, having been Rylie's nemisis from the start, it was fun to see them grow.
When Rylie discovers follow park ranger Nick's beloved cousin missing and his best friend naked on the ice, Nicky begs her for help in finding him. Can she find the missing boy? And discover what happened to his friend? Even if it means working with Nicky, Rylie is determined to get to the bottom of what happen to the boys.
I liked the narrator and think she was a good choice for the series. Especially with the different accents she used to bring the characters to life.
