Great action packed story

I really enjoyed this story, if you like Anime then you will like this, its full of over the top action typically seen in the genre.

The narration was well performed and not off putting as can sometimes be the case.

Overall I enjoyed this story and I will keep my eye out for a sequel.

“Life is too short to hold on to the past.”

Perhaps I’m the wrong audience for this book and it’s meant for a younger audience, but I found it a little too basically written and I kept losing my focus to the point where I was confused about what was happening. I also found the repetitive use of the word ‘Mana’ annoying as it seemed to be said every other word in some sentences.
I enjoyed the narrators reading voice and his character voices, but I couldn’t understand why Mana was said do weirdly, as though there was a full stop after every utterance of it.
I’ve listened to many books with sound effects, but this seemed bizarre. There was only a couple of random instances of battle effects but the music seemed totally wrong and out of context. It sounded like the backing track of an electronic keyboard and was often stuck in randomly seemingly with no purpose.
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.
