Addictive and well narrated
This was completely different to what I was expecting - yes it was a great thriller whilst they try and find Audrey but it was also about the relationship between Stacey and Caleb so the title can have two meanings. This is my first exposure to this author but I doubt it will be the last.
The narration so suited the story and the voices were different and had great tones.
I was given a free copy by Story Origin and the author but the review is entirely my own.

Exciting Listen
When Audrey vanishes during a snow storm, can Lacey save her?
Save Her is a fantastic followup in The Lacey James series. My favourite things about this series so far have been the pacing and the way the story unfolds. From the very start i'm pulled into the story and eager to know where it's going. I love a good wintery setting, I find it adds to the tension.
I loved the narration by Cassandra Medcalf. She does a great job portraying Lacey and differentiating all of the characters.

Exciting!
The second book in the Lacey James series, Chris Patchell explodes immediately with suspense and drama! While these books are short, they are chock full of thrilling excitement and just enough romance to peak my interest and keep it engaged. Lacey and Caleb are back together, at least they appear to be. Life just isn't the same as it was, and it's like going through the motions. Lacey is called out on search for a friend of hers, Audrey, who disappears after leaving a New Year's Eve Party. Blizzard conditions and no idea where she has ended up has Caleb coming to her side using his search and rescue skills. What has happened to Audrey? Will these two find her in time? And will they figure their own problems out? Mysteries are so exciting, and this one had me from the start. I enjoy Patchell's writing as we venture back and forth from Audrey to Lacey and Caleb, following both stories until the converge. This is another thrilling installment and I can't wait to see what Patchell has in store for us next!
Cassandra Medcalf falls in to character once again as Lacey! I love her voices and the way she portrays each character. Different voices make the story come alive and the suspense build. She is perfect for this series I am really enjoying getting to know her better!

My Thoughts on Save Her
This might have been a shorter story, but it certainly was thrilling and very engaging. I found myself hooked on every moment. I already knew that I liked the main character from the first book in the series, but I found myself continuing with that feeling in this second book. I liked this new story and how it was a whole new case to deal with and yet there were also tie-ins from the previous story as well in regard to the main character Lacey’s personal life. I, in particular, like the way things with her personal life were handled overall. Without wanting to give too much away, I was a little worried how things might end in that regard, but I was pleasantly surprised with the way the author chose to handle things, and I am even more excited to continue, knowing that the characters are choosing to fight for what is important to them. I also really enjoyed the narration for this one. The performer was a good fit for the character, and I would enjoy hearing her continue the series.

More Lacey James Greatness! Fantastic Listen🎧📚🎧
Lacey James is back in action for another thrilling crime drama, mystery novella, a novella that packs a whole lot of story. Chris Patchell is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and a creative mind. The story she created is original, with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Audrey Drummond is back in Sweet Home, Oregon and is connecting with friends at a New Year’s eve party, because she did not have wheels of her own. Her friend got her a ride with Jake, her ex boyfriend from high school. But Jake arrives alone and Lacey, who was there with her husband Caleb, asked about where was Audrey and he said he let her out a few miles down the road. The party was in a remote area and the roads were dark, making matters worse was the approaching storm. Lacey is a cop through and through. Even off-duty, she goes above and beyond to help someone who is in a dangerous situation. So she sets off to find Audrey, except there is no sign of her. Knowing Audrey was in deep trouble, she goes into full cop mode, investigates further and goes looking for her. And her gut instincts are right and she is on her trail, but will she get to her in time? There is never a dull moment in this book, the plotting is clever and it has plenty of drama, both crime and personal, action, mystery, thrilling suspense, along with heartfelt emotions and a touch of romance.. Chris Patchell, thank you for another great story and thrilling ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Cass Medcalf continues to do an amazing job of bringing these characters and story to life. Her versatility truly shined as she covered both the male and female roles, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and have you feeling them all. Medcalf is an entertaining storyteller and her narration enhances an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another great listen.

Quick but intense read!!
book 2 does not disappoint. This book was a quick great listen, but you really got a lot of action and intensity regardless. The narrator did a really good job and suited the characters. Highly enjoyable listen especially for a commute. I'm looking forward to more.

Short and intense
Poor Lacey can't even go to a New Year's party without finding trouble. Nothing like a blizzard and a missing person to spice up the high school reunion, and when Audrey gets stranded by her *explicit* ex, Lacey steps up to the plate. This is a short, but intense read and Lacey is strong, stubborn and smart. Definitely can be read as a stand alone, but I like getting glimpses into Lacey's personal life while she's trying to save her. The audio book version is awesome and I love the narration by Cassandra Medcalf. I'm off to the next book, and I hope that comes out in audio soon as well.
