About this listen
As if he doesn't have enough to handle between running outlaws out of Cheyenne, keeping his brothers out of trouble, and avenging his father's death, Sheriff Sawyer McCade's meddling mother just dumped a mysterious mail-order bride on his doorstep. One woman can be more trouble than a band of renegades, and while this one has him all stirred up, he'd rather get to the bottom of the story she isn't telling.
Rose Parker had it all - until a web of danger and deceit sends her running to Cheyenne posing as a mail-order bride. Escaping the evils of New York seems sensible until she meets the unsuspecting sheriff who didn't ask for her, has no intention of marrying her, and won't rest until he uncovers her secret and sends her back home.

Story
What a great book!
Would you consider the audio edition of Sawyer's Rose to be better than the print version?
I have read this story in print version and I absolutely loved it, so when I heard it would be on audible I couldn't wait to see how they would compare and this version didn't disappoint in any way in fact as I listened to the story I lay back and closed my eyes and saw it play out in my head like it was a movie on the big screen .
What other book might you compare Sawyer's Rose to, and why?
Although this book is mainly about the MacCade brothers who are cowboys in the old wild west, it's also a romantic story full of action and suspense that left me swooning for the men and cheering on the strong and feisty women.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
My favourite scene is at the bank, it's heart stopping and brilliantly played out!
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The narrator of this book was very good at portraying the voices of each of the characters so it was very easy to connect to them and to feel the emotions of Sawyer, Rose and all the other's depending on the situations that they found themselves in. His voice is very deep but it's clear to understand him and it does change to represent whether he is reading the part of either a male or female character.
Any additional comments?
An exciting story that I enjoyed very much and can't wait to listen to more from this author and narrator.

A Lovely listen
I enjoyed this historical, western romance. There was plenty of action and suspense interspersed throughout the whole story so there was never a dull moment.
The romance was sweet and developed very naturally.
My initial reservations about the narrator were quickly put aside as I got into the story. I found the performances of the male and female characters to be very good. I could really picture and hear the cowboys he was portraying. It sounded very authentic. The narrator's voice was very deep but it was softened when various characters spoke. I thought he did a very good job.
This was an entertaining story and I will enjoy listening to book two.
