Adore this book.

Another triumph from Lucy Lennox,
Great book, great narration by Michael Dean.
Can't wait to listen to it again and I rarely do that. Would highly recommend.

5*****

I read the book itself first and the whole novel is amazing, the narrator is great and suits the book perfectly.

Good, but a bit wrong

The reader didn't interpret 'Gay'. He switched his voice to a nasal tone and camp whenever he switches to the gay character. Even if this were realistic, it is still insulting.

Big nope on the fake gay premise

It’s one thing for straight characters to pretend to be their gay friend’s date for a wedding or something like that. Fake boyfriend stories are usually fun. But I hate the way this starts with Nine faking gay to scam his way into a sponsorship deal with a company trying to be more inclusive. No matter what happened after that, I could only see him as a shady lying liar.
