Summary

When a killer closes in, there's only one way to stay alive. Say You're Sorry is the gripping first book in a brand new series from Sunday Times bestselling author Karen Rose.

A serial killer is on the loose in California, leaving letters carved into the torsos of his victims.

When Daisy Dawson fights off a masked attacker one night, she grabs a necklace from around his neck. What she doesn't know then is that she's found the missing link to a cold case that Special Agent Gideon Reynolds has been tracking for seventeen years. With Daisy's help, he finally has the opportunity to get closer to the truth than ever before.

But it soon becomes clear that Daisy's attack was just the beginning. Now the bloodied bodies of young women are showing up all over the state. As Gideon tries to track down the killer, it's clear he has a new target. Daisy is in more danger than they ever could have realised....

OMG!

When I saw the length of this book I thought the editor had been on Annual Leave!
Usually very long books can be boring with the story line drowned under a torrent of words but..in this case I'm delighted to be wrong!
The book is exciting, with a great story line, also great sex scenes! I am so pleased I choose this book and will happily recommend it. (Hang onto your hat!!)

brilliant story, awful storytelling

Karen Rose always give you an amazing story but it's spoilt by the story teller. his voices blend in to one and it gets so confusing!!! for me it made it so hard to figure out who was talking.

Awful narrator

Love Karen Rose but absolutely gutted that this is the narrator for the Sacramento series.

dreadful narrator

enjoyed the story, great to meet some new characters and catch up with a couple of familiar "faces"
what really put me off was the narrator. I am aware that he is male and female voices are challenging but they all sounded like really bad drag acts, even the men. If the story hadn't been gripping I'd have given up.

Gripping story!

I struggled with the reader and the way he done a women’s voice I just kept thinking of white chicks.
Understandable that doing a women’s voice is hard but Iv heard a lot better

love the story but not keen on narration

I love Karen Rose as an author. You know what you are going to get... A love (almost at first sight) interest, friends fighting crime and an interesting storyline with twists and turns.

This book is no different. Gideon and Poppy are thrown together when she is attacked. She managed to fight her attacker off and grabbed a neck chain as she did so. This sets into motion a series of events leading to a deadly showdown.

The narration is mainly OK but sometimes the wobbly tones /voice are irritating.

Great story pity about the speaker

Great story but the reader was a bit mechanical and all voices sounded the same was hard to differentiate between them and who was being spoken about.

Good story once you get past the narrators.

The story was good, albeit a little predictable. The troubled, hard man meets the troubled, cute but badass woman trope is a bit samey, but overall I still liked the book.

The narrator was okay until he tried to do the voices of the characters. Gideon (main character) sounded like Joe Swanson from Family Guy and I couldn't unhear it, which made the intimate scenes sound particularly cringey.

I like the characters all overlapping across books.
