Summary
In einer Buchhandlung auf der Insel Borkum wird eine junge Mitarbeiterin erschossen aufgefunden. Für alle Beteiligten steht fest, dass nur ihr zu Eifersucht und Gewalt neigender Exfreund diese Tat begangen haben kann. Je tiefer aber Hauptkommissar David Büttner mit seinem Team in das Umfeld des Opfers und damit in ein Geflecht aus Täuschungen und gegenseitigen Verdächtigungen eintaucht, desto häufiger kommen ihm Zweifel, dass tatsächlich der Richtige in der Arrestzelle sitzt. Als schließlich eine weitere Mitarbeiterin der Buchhandlung spurlos verschwindet, scheint der bislang eingeschlagene Ermittlungsweg endgültig in eine Sackgasse zu führen. Oder doch nicht?
