About this listen
Memory is, without a doubt, the most powerful (and practical) tool of everyday life. By linking both your past and your future, memory gives you the power to plan, to reason, to perceive, and to understand.
Yet while all of us have an amazing capacity for memory, there are plenty of times when it seems to fail us. Why does this happen? And how can you fix it? In Scientific Secrets for a Powerful Memory, you’ll explore the real research on how memory functions - and then apply these findings to help you make better use of the memory abilities you have. By tapping into a series of scientifically proven strategies, tricks, and techniques, and by practicing them through dynamic exercises, you’ll emerge from the end of this short course with the ability to process information more effectively and to increase your chance of remembering almost anything you want.

Interesting
Enjoyed this read particularly the false memory section near the end.
I struggle with my memory as does the average joe, but also due to my adhd.
While I dont think I will using the techniques at the start of the book, I did enjoy the book and have shared the false memory section with others.

One of the best!
This was one of the best books on neurology that I have read/ listened to.
Clearly explained with sections to have a go at.
I will probably go through this one again.
Highly recommended

Boring and confusing for me
This is boring and confusing. I got to the end of chapter one and thought I don't want to learn of the major system. It maybe great for others but it did not meet my needs. I'm going to Jim Kwik.

A few useful memory tips but not many
The Major System and Method of Loci are discussed along with Ebbinghaus's Forgetting Curve but other than that, the lectures are mostly about the scientific study of memory and forgetting. Although that is interesting, if you want to improve your memory, other books may be more practical
