About this listen
The highly anticipated sequel to Under Different Stars, winner of four 2014 utopYA Awards.
Eighteen-year-old Kricket Hollowell was looking for her place in the world when she discovered that the universe was bigger - and more dangerous - than she had ever dreamed. Now, whisked across space to the planet Ethar, Kricket learns that her genetic ability to see the future makes her a sought-after commodity...and the catalyst for war between her star-crossed parents' clans. According to Alameedan prophecy, one house will rise to power, and the other will be completely wiped out, and Kricket's precognition is believed to be the weapon that will tip the scales.
A target of both the Rafe and the Alameeda houses, Kricket finds protection - and a home - in the arms of Trey, her Etharian bodyguard-turned-boyfriend. But her visions of what's to come disturb her deeply, especially since she must discover whether the gift of foresight will allow her to rewrite the future or if her fate is as immovable as the stars.

Suspenseful & Mind Blowing. 5 All The Stars Full of Stars.
Book 2 continues with so much more suspense and twists and mind blowing moments- and some light hearted funny ones and oh my freaking heart! So much love for these characters. Trey is so swoony and protective but I’m so drawn to Kyon too.- I dint want to be in Kricket’s shoes (or maybe I do 🤔)
The narration is perfect for this story. It’s easy to visualise the scenery and feel the emotions.
5 ALL THE SEAS FULL OF STARS
Looking forward to book 3!

There's a word limit so I'm just gonna say WOW!
What other book might you compare Sea of Stars to, and why?
Kate Daniels series, because they are both self-reliant strong female protagonists. Both characters I love and can't seem to get enough of. I hope Kricket gets a fourth book, she deserves one.
What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?
I just got lost in the story, so I guess everything about Kate Rudd's performance. I love when the narrator adds and doesn't take away from the story.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Both, but I have just finished the third book and I'm in tears. But I'm happy as well, It was such as amazing series, so thrilling and fulfilling to read but I'm sad that things have to be so hard for Kricket. I can't wait to read the fourth book. Because there really NEEDS to be a fourth book. I feel like all the characters deserve a fourth book, but mainly Kricket, I need to know the end her story.

Second book and the plot thickens, excellent.
Would you listen to Sea of Stars again? Why?
Absolutely yes, because the story is so good.
What did you like best about this story?
There isn't just one thing I like best, its a combination of plot, characters and emotions invoked that make the whole thing a listen to in one go or if read a reading in one sitting.
Have you listened to any of Kate Rudd’s other performances? How does this one compare?
I haven't, only this series, she is good but I do have other female narrators I prefer such as Renee Raudman and Lauren Fortgang who just have that storytelling edge hence 4 stars instead of 5 for performance but that is just my personal preference on voice tone. .
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, both.
Any additional comments?
Great world building, intriguing plot where all is not as it seems, good character development and decent narrator lead to a recommened listen. Looking forward to book 3.
