About this listen
If you are new to this series, THIS is the book to start with.
The same love story...just told in a different way.
The same things happen...they just happen differently.
With brand new content, this story has been revamped. The emotion, the intensity and the HEAT have all been TURNED UP!
A music label wants my band. I just want her.
I never knew a smile had the power to change the course of a life, until she smiled at me and shifted my world off its axis.
My band? Revitalized.
My writer’s block? Gone.
My heart? Hers.
There’s no way I couldn’t marry her the first chance I got. They said we were crazy, that getting married so soon was insane. I don’t care. I love her more than anything. And then my band gets the call that changes everything.
My dreams are all coming true, but what will the sudden rush of rock and roll success do to our new marriage? It’s going to take everything to manage this new rise to fame and life on the road while hanging onto the love of my life, but there’s no question…I’m not doing this without her.

My Thoughts on See Her
Overall, I would say I found this to be an enjoyable story. It had lots of Insta love vibes initially for me, but I did appreciate the fact that with time the characters did get to know each other. I did genuinely feel that by the end, their feelings, dedication, and love was real. They certainly went through their share of trials and tribulations, especially with regards to their rock lifestyle. But they came through the other side, strong and together. I liked that they had different forms of support along the way, even as they had obstacles thrown in their path from unexpected directions. The story flowed really well for me and had a pacing that for the most part kept me engaged when I would pick it up to listen. The narrators did a good job although I will say that the female narrator’s male voice wasn’t exactly my favorite. This was a case where I did find myself wishing for duet narration because while I liked both of their voices individually, when they played the other gender character the tone was just a bit lacking for me. It would by no means stop me from listening to either of these narrators again in future. I would just love to hear them on duet narration best of all. I would also absolutely pick up the next book in the series after finishing this one because I did find myself enjoying it once all was said and done and would like to see where it goes next.

Mayzie & Jack!
A bartender and a copywriter meet with sparks flying immediately! Jack is an aspiring musician, bar tending to fill in the gaps for now and he meets Mayzie, copy writing while desiring to be an author. The two click immediately and are on starting on a slow burn romance. Mayzie is ready to move it along, but Jack knows what he has and wants to make sure he does everything right. She is his muse and writing songs has never been easier. As his band takes off though, life for these two changes. Being on the road is not exactly romantic and the band has it's image to protect. How will these two fair the storms? Will fame pull them apart? This is my first book by Natalie Parker, and I loved it. Not too angsty, extremely romantic and engaging characters that had my attention. Jack is so sweet and attentive, it is impossible not to fall for the man. Mayzie is smart and confident, giving her the tools she needs to deal with the public. Plus the getting to know the band is a treat, as all the personalities come out and play. This is a great listen and I am hoping there will be more to hear.
Celia Stone and Walker Williams are the narrators for this romantic listen and they are perfectly cast. Stone is Mayzie, totally in love, at times a bit anxious and other times confident. With each inflection, Stone easily let me know how Mayzie was feeling. Williams is a favorite, and in this performance, he is swoon worthy as he creates Jack's heart. These two made the listen and I loved it.

This Book Rocked~Great Story, Characters & Listen!
Rockstar romance novels are one of my favorite tropes, so I knew I was going to enjoy this book, despite being new to Natalie Parker, and I was not disappointed one bit. She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and she created a story with intriguing characters and storylines. Once I started the book, I did not want to stop because I needed to know what happened next. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Mayzie Walker and Jack Karansinski clicked the moment they met and while Jack takes it slow at first, he was really into her. Mayzie is an aspiring author, but for now copywriting jobs are paying her bills. Jack is in a band, “Turn it Up” but bartending pays his bills for now. He also writes the songs for the band, but is having writer’s block, but Mayzie becomes his new muse and the words flow again for him. Jack and Mayzie’s romance was a whirlwind, they fell hard and fast for each other. Then the band gets discovered and they join a tour as an opener. The life of a rockstar on tour has its challenges, and not only for the band but for Jack and Mayzie’s relationship, too. This is not your typical angsty rockstar romance, because Jack is far from that, he is sweet and swoon worthy. I enjoyed this story immensely, the plotting and world building are fantastic, and it has a perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Besides the two fabulous lead characters, there are some wonderful secondary characters, too. Natalie Parker, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Celia Stone and Walker Williams did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that suits them perfectly. I loved how they took their roles and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Williams rocked it out as Jack, showcasing his personality completely and Stone did the same as Mayzie, bringing out all sides of her personality as well. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling each one. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

In the beginning
Maisy and Jack meet by chance in a coffee shop not knowing that meeting would lead to forrver. Jack is a struggling musician that has writers block and Maisy is not sure of her self especially with guys when they meet. Their relationship is worldwind that leads to a marriage and then the band takes off and the issues they dealt with as a married couple when one of the partnership gets famous. Loved hearing both sides of the story which made me love the characters even more.

Sweet and Spicy Rockstar Romance
Turn It Up was a light hearted and enjoyable listen. A little conflict but not much and not so much between the main characters but with the band. Jack and Mayzie had an instant connection from the first smile. I loved how Jack took the time to really get to know Mayzie and build a friendship, even with a fast moving relationship! They had a lot happening all at once and I enjoyed how they handled things and with communication were able to handle the hard parts of adjusting to touring etc.
Narration was easy to listen to. I think this is my first listen with Celia Stone - she has a nice voice but I did have to pay close attention to get who was "talking" as I didn't notice a big change in voice for the male character. Overall, Still a great audio and I'm happy I was able to listen.

Great listen!
This is only my second book by this author and just like the first, I really liked it.
You’ll enjoy this book if you like these tropes…♡
✿ Slow Burn
✿ Undeniable Attraction
✿ Rockstar Hero
✿ Dancer Couple
✿ Likeable & Relatable Family Dynamic
✿ Meet-cute
✿ Mature, Open & Great Communication Skills
Jack and Mayzie are so cute together. They made my heart happy even when they were dealing with “fans” and “groupies”. I think the author added the perfect amount of drama and conflict to keep this story flowing well and to keep the reader's attention.
This book is part of a series, however, it can be read as a standalone. Recommend picking this book up and giving it a read!
