About this listen
Never in a million years would Elaina Stone guess that she’d be rescued by demons and live a life on the run, but that’s her life. Fearing she has accidentally killed her mother, she lands in New Orleans. She barely makes ends meet as a floating chef when she’s approached with an offer.
Elaina is back in Atlantis and it feels like home, which is weird for a woman who doesn’t remember even being there. She’s haunted by nightmares and ghosts as she tries to manage her new life working as a live-in chef for the Shadow Group, a secretive organization in the breed world.
When she saves a demon trying to escape the clutches of hell, the demon repays her by telling her she has been betrayed and that her life is a lie. As she struggles with her true identity, she also has to figure out what to do with her new BFF that feeds on chaos.

Welcome back to Atlantis
You try typing a review without giving anything away and without bouncing up and down while typing a review because you want to go into detail about EVERYTHING in the storyline!
But, I'll try...
Kim (author) does a wonderful job catching the listener up from where we left off in Blood and Bone (book 2). Her style of writing allows you to be pulled into the story and visualize what's taking place. The plot pulls at your heartstrings a little (yes I cried) and will make you laugh (the Brownies are back!). However, it did leave me asking more questions - (Who is Elaina's father?! Do we get a glimpse of him in this book?...)
Stacy (narrator) is fantastic in storytelling. You are clearly able to recognize each character with the different character voices. She's not reading the book to you, she tells a story. I feel that difference is very important to narration.
I normally take forever to complete a book as I only listen to books when I'm driving. Dear reader, I will never confess to sitting in the car after arriving home just to continue to listen to this story.
So to all that will read this, welcome back to Atlantis! Enjoy the new characters while catching up with familiar ones.
