Summary
La reina Isabel de Inglaterra envía una misión naval a Dinamarca para rendir honores al rey Federico II. Entre la tripulación viaja una compañía de teatro, la de William Shakespeare, embarcada para representar Romeo y Julieta y Sueño de una noche de verano ante la corte danesa. Durante la travesía avistan una inmensa ballena que arrastra varios cadáveres.
Shakespeare queda tan impresionado por el suceso que no dejará de pensar en cómo incluir ese episodio en una obra de teatro. Pero quizá el género teatral no pueda dar cabida a todo lo que Shakespeare imagina: combates marítimos, naufragios, monstruos marinos... ¿Imaginó Shakespeare Moby Dick doscientos cincuenta años antes que Melville?
Jon Bilbao es un escritor español. Es ingeniero de minas por la Universidad de Oviedo. Ha recibido varios premios por su producción literaria, como el premio Asturias Joven en 2005, el Ojo Crítico de Narrativa de RNE en 2008 o el Premio Euskadi de Literatura en 2011. Actualmente, además de continuar desarrollando la escritura, trabaja como guionista de televisión y como traductor.
