it's still so good, see you next month
it's still so good, I've already pre-ordered the next book. The only sad part is it'll take it entire month to see what happens next :(

Good narration as always
But the story wasn't as good as previous titles, nothing major seems to happen, it was quite boring tbh and a bit meandering.
I'm hoping this installment is setting up for something more meaty in the next book. Fingers crossed.

Pop-culture references.
Generally I quite like this series (wouldn't be 14 books deep in it otherwise), but I do have one issue with it:
It's one thing to make references to popular culture, some people just dislike them in general, but I'm not one of them.
However, the obsession this series has with always indicating its references with with figurative flashing neon signs and arrows is truly obnoxious: "hey, just in case you didn't notice notice, I just referenced Arthur. C Clarke, See, aren't I clever?" The reference may have been clever, but it became dumb the moment it was pointed out like that...
Now, you may think, what if people don't know the reference? The thing is, if someone doesn't know the thing being referenced, it doesn't really help to point it out, it doesn't magically make a reference funny to know that it is a reference, you usually have to actually experienced the thing being referenced, if you haven't it's pretty pointless to be told that it's a reference.
