About this listen
The ongoing saga of a beautiful friendship!
For all we know, or think we know, about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, what we don't know is far, far greater. In one of the duo's most exciting cases, The Adventure of the Speckled Band, we know when Helen Stoner arrives "in a considerable state of excitement" at the door of 221B Baker Street, seeking the assistance of Holmes and Watson: "It was early in April in the year '83..." But what happened during the rest of 1883? Or all of 1884?
To help fill the void, we have asked today's top Sherlockian writers to rummage through their Watsonian correspondence and uncover the many mysteries left untold until now.
There's a new story for every month of the year, forewords from noted Holmesians, and a gorgeous cover from Jeffrey McKeever, whose work continues to grace the pages of The Strand Magazine!
The game is afoot!

Not as good as previous book
As always multiple Authors means multiple levels of writing and different levels of deduction and crimes to be solved. Some good, some ok other a bit poor. Also some strange facts / history such as where Holmes and Watson at a point they have to share rooms due to limited funds both carry around £16000 in today's money in their wallets and had it out for information and offer people twice this. Some other stories have no actual deduction in them so very much a mixed bag.

Excellent narration and characterisation by Richard Auty
This excellent anthology of new stories by a collection of writers in the style of Conan-Doyle, brings Sherlock Holmes to life once more. The excellent voice talent of Richard Auty made me believe I was listening to a cast of dozens, so cleverly done and with clarity sadly missing in other media. Perfect for anyone interested in the classical detective.

Enjoyable
I think the narration was outstanding. All characters now vivid and immediate. The stories are okay; some better than others inevitably, but slightly weaker than other Sherlock shorts I’ve listened to.
