Story
One magical winter's night in Venice, Didi fell in love. But it ended - and he left without even saying goodbye. Now, 13 years on, Shay Mason is back. Of course the old spark is still there, but that's as far as it goes. Didi won't let the past unsettle her present: as manager of one of the most stunning hotels in the Cotswolds, she's happy at last and soon to be married. Anyway, Shay isn't staying. He's made a promise to his wayward father, that's all. He's going to keep it. And then he'll be gone.

Story
Late summer, 1963. Fresh from London and a recent cookery course, Alexandra has always loved a challenge. Which is why she now finds herself standing outside an imposing chateau in Provence. Waiting for her inside is three silent, rather hostile children who are to be her charges for the next month. They will soon be more friendly, she tells herself. All they need is some fun, good food and an English education. Far more of a challenge though is their father - an impossibly good-looking French count with whom she is rapidly falling in love.

Story
On the one hand, if Essie hadn't written that letter - the one that only her best friend was meant to see - then she'd still be living like an actual proper grown-up, tucked up with Paul in his picture-perfect cottage, maybe even planning their wedding.... On the other hand (if her true feelings hadn't accidentally taken the Internet by storm, that is), she never would have met Zillah and Conor - not to mention Lucas. And she'd never have found out just how much life there is to be lived....

Story
Jill Mansell's best seller Take a Chance on Me takes listeners on an entirely unpredictable romantic journey.... For fans of Carole Matthews and Lucy Diamond. Cleo Quinn doesn't have a great track record when it comes to men, but now Will's come along she's optimistic. Handsome, attentive and an absolute gentleman when it comes to her questionable cooking skills, he could be her Mr. Right. Things are definitely looking up for Cleo...apart from one small problem with a rather large ego.

Soon she's living in a stunning house by the sea, fending off obsessed fans for a retired - if far-from-retiring - actor and organising his charming but chaotic family. Yes, everyone thinks she's part of a couple, and it's tricky keeping this secret. But at least she's not looking for love: with her disastrous relationship history, men are definitely off the agenda.

Sheer Mischief by best-selling author Jill Mansell is an unmissable romantic comedy about sisterly love and rivalry.... Not to be missed by listeners of Sophie Kinsella and Marian Keyes. It's not that Janey Sinclair isn't pleased to see her sister. It's just that being woken at seven by Maxine, complete with police escort, isn't quite how she'd planned to spend her Sunday. Even so, Janey, who's just rebuilding her life after her husband disappeared, is delighted that her sister's back in the Cornish town where they grew up.

Summary
From the queen of feelgood fiction, an uplifting new novel of friendship, families and finding love....
Amber, Lachlan and Raffaele met as teenagers in the Cornish seaside home of kind-hearted foster parents. Years on, the bond between them is unbreakable
But Amber has a secret. She's in love with Lachlan. She can't tell him, because that would never work—he's definitely not the settling-down type. Surely it's better to keep him as a friend than to risk losing him for good?
Raffaele has his own dilemma. He had the dream girlfriend in Vee, until it all went horribly wrong...and he still can't understand why. Is Vee hiding something from him?
Now their widowed foster dad Teddy has found new love. Younger, charming and beautiful, Olga seems perfect. But is she? Or will she break Teddy's fragile heart?
Against a backdrop of sparkling seas and sunny skies, the unexpected is always just around the corner. Welcome to Lanrock!
Gloriously romantic and completely life-affirming, Jill Mansell's wonderful new novel set in sunny Cornwall will make you believe in love again.

Bad editing by otherwise a great story
Jill Mansell in her usual great form, and thoroughly enjoyed the story as much as expected. Sadly a glitch with chapter 35 appearing instead of 25 gave away part of the plot early and was a bit confusing. Was otherwise well read and fortunately I had bought the audible book as an add on to the kindle book, so was able to read chapter 25.

Recommend this
I’ve just listened to the audio book which was very enjoyable. The story was, as with all Jill Mansell books, very entertaining with multiple characters and their lives and loves intertwined into a great read - or listen - as in this case. The experience was enhanced by the narrator who did a brilliant job with various accents, genders and even stuttering. I know I’d have loved the book too but Katherine Press really brought the story to life.
I should add that the editing error described by other reviewers has been sorted.

Wonderful as always
I've loved everyone of Jill Mansell's books, and this was just as brilliant as the others have been. Wonderful characters and a lovely, happy story.
Fabulous narration by Katherine Press.
I'd had this on pre-order, so it downloaded as soon as it was released, however I had been finishing another audio book and didn't listen to it before reviews started about the editing error. By selecting 'Remove from Device' and then downloading again, I was able to access the corrected version, not the faulty. So I would recommend this for anyone else who has the same problem.

Mixed-up chapter failure!
Poor editing ruins the story here! Major spoilers as they mix up chapters in an otherwise lovely story. Chapter 24 is obviously supposed to come later as it comes with a major spoiler! Was very confused until I played on and got the earlier part of the story too late.
What a shame as Jill Mansel is a staple rom com storyteller and a joy to listen to normally. Please fix for future listeners, audible!

Irritating spoiler error by publishers
Whilst a little predictable I very much enjoyed this book, a lighthearted listen.
BUT be aware that at 17 minutes and 20 seconds into chapter 24 it announces chapter 35 and the remaining seven odd minutes are indeed the beginning of that chapter. Which contains a huge spoiler. Very confusing until I worked it out, and disappointing then as it ruined that part of the story. So, make sure that when you get to that point, you skip to chapter 25 and don’t listen to it!
