About this listen
"Some say the past is in the past. That vengeance will hurt both innocent and guilty. I never believed those lies. Once my lust for revenge is sated, I'll say goodbye to hatred. I'll find a new beginning."
SIN & SUFFER
She came from a past Arthur "Kill" Killian never forgot. She made him sin and made him suffer. She tugged him from the shadows and showed him he wasn't as dead as he thought. And with her resurrection came betrayal, deceit, and war.
But then they took her. Stole her. Imprisoned her.
Now Kill's carefully laid plans for vengeance are complete. He craves action, retribution - the blood of his enemies. War has begun. War is all they'll know until they've paid their penance. He will get her back-and rewrite their destiny....

So many things I struggled with here!
I really had a hard time finishing this series. I kinda hate not knowing how something ends once I start it, but this one was almost painful to finish!!! The main characters weren't quite up to scratch (disappointing given I picked up this book because of Killian's little role in the indebted books, where I found him interesting and I was exciting to learn more about him!), an issue which was compounded by a narrator who made Cleo sound too cute and Kill sound too childish. The story didn't often totally make sense or feel in any way possible. And it was *nothing* like the indebted series, to be clear. I also felt it was more of a sappy romance with some dark bits stuck in there, than anything even heading towards the dark side of erotica. I just couldn't connect with it and having finally reached the end, it was so uninteresting that I genuinely wish I had just given up. Its a shame as it had a lot of potential at the beginning. :(
