Summary

A lone survivor embarks on a post-apocalyptic quest for revenge in the seventh installment of this gritty zombie-thriller series.

Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters.

Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead. Determined to destroy the Dog Tongue’s followers once and for all, he resolves to follow their ominous trail wherever it may lead . . .

Combining dystopian suspense and zombie-killing action with complex characters and dark humor, Skull Road is the seventh book in Keith C. Blackmore’s thrilling Mountain Man series—perfect for fans of HBO’s The Last of Us

Magnificent

Like every book in the series it seems unique and has what feels like the equivalent of 3 books within it ... loved it and the ending... YES

Loving our Gus

I listened to the previous books and believed the series completed. To my joy I discovered by chance an addition and purchased it immediately. It’s not like Audible to miss out on a certain sell!! However brilliant series. A little in love with Gus and will miss him. Not normally in to Zombie books but these are different to others I have tried. Well recommend. I enjoyed KCB’s Breed series too. Great narrator.

A great story, is this the end?

Mountain Man, book 1 was my introduction into the ZA genre. Since then I’ve gone through soooooo many books set in this type of world. I owe a lot to Gus (and Mr Blackmore) if this is the end then it’s fitting, if not then I will look forward to the next one.

An Awesome Series

Loved every book in this series and this was a great way to end it. The narration was brilliant as usual and the story kept me gripped throughout. Just a shame it’s over!

Wow

After 7 books and countless hours of enjoyment I had a massive smile at the end. If ever there was a series to listen to this is it.

Good addition to the series

On the whole I enjoyed the book, however the start of the book just went on a bit too long, until the proper story got underway I hope there is more adventures yet to come for Gus

Overall, it's a good book.

It's a bit slow in the beginning, so I was worried it was going to be another version of book 6, but it's nothing like it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
