Summary
This Sky Brooks bundle includes books one through four.
Moon Tortured: The Midwest Pack has three goals: Protect the pack. Protect the pack. And yeah, protect the pack. I have my own goal: Live a simple life and hope no one ever discovers that the quiet young woman next door turns into a wolf.
Darkness Unchained: Just survive. That's been my goal since uncovering a dangerous secret: I died at birth and became host to a very powerful spirit shade. Now I have the rare ability to manipulate magic - an ability some would kill for.
Midnight Falls: My life will never be simple again. As a werewolf who is a host to a powerful spirit shade, I possess the ability to manipulate magic, among other things - and that means I have many enemies. In need of allies, I join the Midwest Pack.
Lunar Marked: The Midwest Pack used the Clostra to perform a powerful and dangerous spell to save me. Now the pack is dealing with the aftermath and doing damage control. But they can't hide how the magic has changed the dynamics of the otherworld - or that they are responsible.

Excellent story but
Really enjoyed this book series. Enjoyable story slightly ruined by the voice actor/sound engineer. The narrator sounds as if she has a peg on her nose through out the series. It's hard to ignore the nasal tones unfortunately.

Riveting
If you love magic, drama, suspense and a jolly good story with a bit of sauce thrown in. This is the series for you. Brilliantly read. Totally addictive!

I really tried…
The story could have held my interest if it wasn’t so awkwardly written. The author used(misused?) bloated, overworked adjectives… sometimes bordering on the absurd. I’d call it literary flatulence.. just had to stop…

Slow pace
Took a while to get going. Didn’t hold my attention and found most of the characters irritating , I was not invested enough to keep going. Read Book 1 but will probably not bother with the rest. Shame, but not for me.

The way you could picture the story all the way through
probably that the story is a little slow for me. And the end of this fourth book isn't actually the end.

Made it through but not really worth it
The story is long winded. I barely focused on the characters. Sky and Ethan are the ultimate Ross and Rachel dynamic - they don’t belong together. It’s very annoying that the writer is trying to convince us that the main character is a virgin in her mid twenties. It’s weird. The smoke and mirrors slow reveal of what being hidden is annoying.

Good story and the reader was very soothing to listen to !
I liked how the story revolves around wear animals instead of just the wolves, this is the first in many books I have read that has come from this perspective. It’s also nice that you see the main character having to work at coming up in the pack instead of it being a forgone conclusion that she is going to become super powerful immediately and get the man, bla bla bla
Looking forward to the next instalment in this series.

Second book gets lost in side stories, returned
I liked the storyline of the first book and overlooked the really poorly mixing of the narrator (you can hear when they started a new recoding and more often than not she sounds like she has a cold). But book two gets lost in the stories of side characters. Stopped mid way and returned
