Summary
Edward Fasbender is a devil.
He’s my father's biggest rival. He takes what he wants, and he bows to no one.
And now Edward Fasbender wants me.
I didn’t expect to want him back.
Having him is not in the cards, not when a union with him would destroy my father. But that doesn’t mean I can’t play with him a bit.
Except, I’ve never played against such a ruthless opponent. Edward is cold and vicious, and my blood has never run hotter. They say you should choose the devil you know, but I've always preferred long odds.
Even if it'll get me slain.

What a voice!
I went into this book determined to hate Celia and when I had finished my opinion had completely done a 180! Edward Fasbender is a wolf in sheeps clothing as far as the world around him see but to Celia he is her nemesis... She really has met her match! Now I fear Celia has played one game to many and karma is about to teach her the ultimate lesson.
There's just something about the strong, silent types that reek of bad boy that just draws me in; and Edward Fasbender is the epitome of a strong, dominant anti hero alpha. however, we do get to see a vulnerable side to Celia. I'm so glad Laurelin decided to write Celia's story because this now certainly intrigues me.
I re-listened to this on audio & Elena Wolfe was perfect as a narrator and her voice for Edward... Just how I had it in my head... Great story and great narration!

Compelling
This story pulls you in from the start and it’s great to get some insight into Celia and her motivations. Who knew she could be such a sympathetic character? Only wish we could know what Edward’s motivation is... apart from being crazy about her. Only downside is the dodgy British accent and will American writers realise one day that Brits do not use the term gotten!!!
