Summary
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn, and narrated in duet by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter, comes a fresh take on a romantic-comedy classic, When Harry Met Sally. This steamy, laugh-out-loud enemies-to-lovers romance is about an annoyingly handsome coworker and the woman who refuses to be charmed by him.
Am I friends with JP Cane?
Ha! That's laughable.
Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day.
So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.
The man doesn't know what it means to wear a shirt, thrives off protein bars, and you guessed it, moans loud enough for people to believe he's Meg Ryan in a restaurant.
Spoiler Alert: I WON'T be having what he's having.
Tack on his continuous flirting and his polished good looks, and I'm caught staring down the barrel of a seductive temptation that makes it hard for me to sleep at night.
But guess who can control herself? This girl.
Because if there is one thing I know for certain, it's that JP Cane and I are so not meant to be.

To be or not so meant to be?
Stella and Aaron did a fabulous job with the narration of this book.
It was funny, awkward, charming and ridiculously easy to listen to.
Yeah, JP did come across as a bit of a player, to begin with, but I could see his attraction to Kelsey was there. He is, however, such a sweet man. His kindness and sense of humour were amazing—and his love for Kazoo was (while a little ridiculous) so charming and delightful.
I didn't like how insecure Kelsey was—although granted, the situation towards the end was enough to ruffle even my feathers—it really irked me that she couldn't seem to see her value. And sometimes, I felt like she was quite mean towards JP.
I loved all the little podcasts from Meghan's couples. ADORABLE!
Especially the one near the end, I just about melted into a puddle from its sweetness.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and would happily relisten to it again.
Are we getting a story for Breaker? I sure hope so!

Highly recommended
The book is easy to listen. Sometimes the female lead is too much insecure, sometimes I can´t understand her completely, yet I liked the book. Many funny parts - especially JP´s pigeon´s and drunken moments. Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter are incredible - definitely the five-star audiobook performance (both of them).

Bit of a slow burner
This was only the second book I had bought by this author. This was a very, very, slow, burning romance. One of the reasons that I buy these books is not because of a purely romantic view, (which is nice to have by the way), but I also like to have some pretty steamy scenes as well. This one didn’t have anything more than flirtation right the way through, with some heavy petting thrown in. I can get 1,000,001 books that offer romance alone, so I was deeply disappointed when I found out that this book was just a glorified romance. The only bonking going on was written in the very last chapter and even then, all it said was ‘they went upstairs and made love’. In fact it might’ve been in the epilogue, so memorable was this book LOL. I’m not put off of this author by this however, as I have a trilogy box set of there’s to listen to. I’m hoping this will match up to the first book I bought which was brilliant. Narrators were fab by the way.

So cringe
I couldn’t finish it. It was so sickly sweet and cringy I had to turn it off. 90 mins left I couldn’t listen any more. Kelsey is as dull as dishwater.

Fantastic narration
The narration on this was perfection, which is standard when Aaraon Shedlock and Stella Hunter are involved.
As for the story itself. I enjoyed this one and thought JP was lovely. Kelsey was okay, but her behaviour in the 3rd Act grew irritating and childish. This need for the 3rd Act shenanigans knocked a star off for me, but overall it was a very enjoyable listen and I would recommend

brilliant audio performance
Another gem from Meghan Quinn.
Second in the series finds JP in love with Kelsey, Lottie's sister. The relationship is fraught with tension as JP, a joker and playboy, has to come to terms with emerging and scary long term feelings for Kelsey. Meanwhile Kelsey tries her best to thwart JP's advances because she believes he is not long term material.
I have to admit I laughed, cried and raged at their on off romance and, at times, felt Kelsey was being a little naive, blind even, to JP's charms. However, and especially in the final few chapters, I managed to understand Kelsey a lot better. Hey, we can all relate to feeling insecure! And the way JP made a come back for her! Well, he's become a favourite book boyfriend now.
I would just like to mention I have this on kindle and audio. The audio book is phenomenal. Aaron Sherlock and Stella Hunter perform this to perfection. Well worth a listen if you can!

Funny but cringey at times
Not as good as the first book. Kelsey came across really nice in the first one but this one I was not a fan of her personality at all. She was self-centred. Also think that it could have been cut by 50-100pages; felt like there was a lot or repetition of “he’s not the one for me”, “he doesn’t want this” blah blah blah. However! I loved the audio performances; great duet and was easy to listen to; also nice seeing Lottie/Huxley again. Overall, will read on for the final book so couldn’t have been that terrible 😅

needs sound editing
the book is ok and the narrators are pleasant, but it was difficult to listen. Because of the sound differences.. the femail narrator was very loud and male too quiet. So if you make it louder it's too loud and if you make it quieter you can hardly hear the mail narrator.. it was really annoying. So it needs eather editing or for male narrator to speak up!

outstanding narration
this has got to be my favourite form of narration and compliments the book so very well, that coupled with the brilliant performances from Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter make this a truly exceptional listening experience and I highly recommend listening to it. I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series and hearing snippets from previous couples from other books of Megan's was a great touch. I'm looking forward to Brakers book.
