Arthur Krasilnikoff (1941-2012) var uddannet filminstruktør på Den danske Filmskole. Han debuterede i ’66 med novellesamlingen "Skyggehunde" og har siden skrevet børne- og ungdomsbøger og en række romaner. "Som landet ligger" udkom oprindeligt i 1983. Det er en roman om en familie, der brød op fra landet for at skabe sig en tilværelse i storbyen.
