Summary
Speak So Your Audience Will Listen is an audiobook for anyone who has to deliver a message, tell a story – or speak to another human being.
Most of us are quite relaxed and confident when we're with our friends and family. We can tell a story or even tell a joke. But put us on a platform and we can feel very different. When we speak to an audience, we often put on a public mask; and use a different voice. Why can't we seem to be ourselves when we give a talk?
In this audiobook, we will look at all aspects of spoken communication, from structure right through to delivery. We will learn how to have a conversation with our audience - to be ourselves - so that we connect with them every time we speak. In seven simple steps, you can learn to be a confident and authentic public speaker. There are specific exercises at the end of every section for you to practice.
Whether you're a CEO presenting to shareholders, a manager motivating your team, an entrepreneur selling a business, a creative pitching an idea, a charity worker asking for donations, or a parent speaking at your daughter's wedding, this audiobook will help you become a confident and authentic public speaker – so that when you speak, your audience will listen.

Excellent content and brilliant presentation
I thought this talking book does everything it says on the cover and is so easy to listen to. I have learned a lot from this and would recommend to all.
This is the first time I have ever recommended anything but thought it deserves it.

Great for speakers or even online presentations
A good listen!
I don't do much public speaking, but do send daily emails to a large list with info, tips and obviously marketing. This book has managed to give some great tips to cover both sides.
Helpful from - hoe to prepare for a talk, removing dry mouth, shortness of breath etc, to how to stand/ move for confidence and clarity.
Equally good ways to open talks:speeches , ending, how to structure information and deal with "troublesome questions" etc
A good listen

Clear, practical, and specific
This was the very first book I downloaded here in Audible and I certainly did not regret it. I do occasionally give lectures to students and I'd say the pointers given here will change my delivery and stage presence all for the better. This is an audio book that is really worth it!

What did you like most about Speak: So Your Audience Will Listen?
At last a self-help book on public speaking that does just what it says on the cover. A methodical approach yet entertaining and certainly very useful. I've listened on audiobooks twice already, and each time another point sinks in. This really works. Take it slowly and then put into good use.

Mainly for Newbies
This is mainly written for people who are fearful of public speaking or very new. If you have experience then there's some useful stuff in the last third, but I wouldn't buy it just for that. I would have liked to hear more about content structure and how speeches are organised.

Good, very good.
This is much more than a book about public speaking. Worth every penny and more.

Shoot me now
Simply the worst narrated book I have ever heard. I couldn't get past the first chapter, don't bother purchasing this.

A bit unengaging. Not sure I would recommend as I was not excited Ret another book
