More Informative
"A beautifully narrated book which will be an absolute delight to anyone interested in sports cards and collectables, I am sure it will be a key publication used by many future collectors. Only improvement would have been a price valuation index, but I suppose that would be a book in itself."

A Good Listen.
"I thoroughly enjoyed Sports Card Collector 101. I'm much older than the author but could certainly relate to his fascination with sports cards from a past generation. Thought it was a wonderful premise for a book (I wish I had thought of it first) and I thought weaving in experiences from his personal life added a human touch to the story. He offered so much more than just the stats from the backs of the cards, which gave the book personality and humanity. I've recommended it as a good read to friends and family members."

Great and Different Book
"The inventive premise used by the narrator created a fun and nostalgic listen about an era of baseball that seems to be overlooked. The majority of the players involved with this book are not household names, but that is the beauty of this book. The listen is able to learn about the life of a player both during their playing career and their life after the game. The spirit of each player comes through effectively and the narrative flows seamlessly from player to player."

I thoroughly enjoyed The Book.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Book. The author journeys across the country in a quest to bring images of former sports players on cardboard cards to reality. There are a few surprises, some fulfilling meetings, and several missed opportunities for some players who don't take advantage of the opportunity to tell their story. I listen it thoroughly.

Good Audio
" I love books. I’m desperate for sports during COVID and this was a refreshing look at the personal lives of a cross section of players told from a perspective that parallels much in my own life and childhood. Also, the text is really well written and the narrator reads good audio- which I almost always enjoy (and did very much on this case). I’d recommend it to anyone, but especially anyone who grew up in the early sports during that era."

As a sports card collector since I was a kid.
"As a sports card collector since I was a kid, I was excited to listen such a book. It did not disappoint. Well narrated and entertaining look at the lives of former players after their time in MLB is over. I’d recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in sports cards or wants to listen a few concise stories from players they once looked up to and cheered for from the stands."
