About this listen
Start-ups can only grow with the right people decisions. This is an audiobook useful for managing the most complex variable in a startup's success.
The first part - How to Pick Partners - will discuss when it is best to go at it solo and when it is best to partner up; how to choose a co-founder; which indicators and warning signs to look for before making the handshake.
The second part - How to Recruit the Top Talent will tell about the most important principles of making the very first hires of the company. You will learn about all the stages of top level hiring, from the interview to drafting up an offer that will get a "yes".
The third part - How to Build a Culture - is based on the appreciation that as a company grows, culture becomes the main map of reference people use for their actions and decisions.
In this book, you will learn about the universal cultural codes start-ups need - actions, rituals, symbols, and stories and how to use them. You'll also get a culture-shaping toolbox!
Startups Grow with People makes good use of metaphors and real-life examples for clarity. You will find lists, action plans, and frameworks you can immediately start using in your own start-up.
The author Ozan Dagdeviren has studied sociology, psychology, and marketing communications followed by holding people-related roles in large organizations. He's an entrepreneur and the founder of CommonWisdom.co.uk based in London and leads startupsoflondon.com

Highly recommend it to any business owner
Starting a new business is not easy at all. If you want to know about how to recruit an employee, how to pick partners or how to build a business culture, this book is for you. If your resources are limited and you think that you cannot outsource the parts such as the recruiting part, the best idea is to begin this book and just follow the instructions in the book. You will be amazed by the results! The book was broadened my horizons and its ways were beyond my expectations. So, I searched the writer deeper and really impressed by what I found.
Writer Ozan Dagdeviren has more than 10 years of experience in People & HR roles or projects in top organisations. He is an accomplished entrepreneur who launched 2 products which are scaling successfully (startupsoflondon.com and hergunogren.com). Learning these things from someone who really worked in the field is priceless. First of all, about “how to recruit an employee”, he had over 3000 interviews and 300 hires; about “how to pick partners”, he is already working with his partners in his projects for a long time; about “how to build a culture”, he is not only building a culture for his own projects but also since he is living in London, he is visiting and interviewing with top London based Scaleups’s CEOs and creates mini-documentaries about these companies in startupsoflondon.com.
I highly recommend this book to any business owner who wants to grow their business with people.
