About this listen

Of all the people in the world, I had to be attracted to the one person I hate…

Ash Summers is the most beautiful guy I’ve ever seen. He’s also a total d*ck, and I hate him more than anything. That feeling is mutual, by the way, as he does nothing but torment me.

Oh, and did I mention he’s my stepbrother?

Messing with Ash is all fun and games until our parents force us to room together during our final year at college. Sharing an apartment with him only makes me hate him more.

Until it doesn’t. When Ash touches me, it’s impossible to remember why I dislike him so much. All I can think of is that I need him to do it again…and again.

Every encounter with Ash teaches me a little about myself and my true desires, but it also leaves an emptiness inside me that I don’t understand.

Am I the only one feeling things? Or is my big, bad stepbrother just as desperate for a connection as I am?

Step Bully is an enemies-to-lovers MM romance between stepbrothers who discover that the line between hate and love is a thin one. Expect super hot, slightly kinky encounters that evolve into a total schmoop fest when these two finally get their act together.

Unsure about my feelings 😄

I did really enjoy Ash and Jules relationship once they started talking things out and understanding where each others anger and resentment was coming from (their messed up families).

But I could not get past the constant use of the word sl*t 🥴 Now, that word doesn’t usually bother me at all, if anything I welcome it when said in the right context but this was total overkill IMO. I checked on kindle and I think it’s said like 60 times 🙈 I couldn’t really get into any of the spicy scenes properly because of this but that might just be my own preference and others may really enjoy that.

Don’t get me wrong, the scenes were super 🥵 Ash’s commands were soo 🔥and I liked the rest of story.

Overall I thought the narrators were both really great at voicing their own characters, however when they spoke for each others characters, I really didn’t enjoy their voice changes as they just didn’t fit but again that’s probably just me.

It’s not my favourite from this author but it was a decent read ☺️

Ash & Jules

I read the book when it came out and loved it . Ash and Jules bickered non stop most people thought they hated each other but we all know there’s a fine line between love and hate.

Excellent story

I loved every second of this lovely story which was jam packed full of love and deliciousness weaved between examples of dreadful parenting. The 2 main characters were adorable

Great bits with a BUT

This story is pretty good - the sex scenes are descriptive and very erotically written and it’s an interesting angle to gay/bi love & relationships.

However, the two main characters are supposed to be 21 but the narrator for Ash sounds like a middle aged man, which begins to grate a little after a while.

I also found the constant need to add descriptions to every few sentences irritating “he chuckled” “I snorted” “he gasped” etc

I realise that all this is subjective and others won’t mind at all - so overall it’s not bad, just over long and mildly irritating
