About this listen
Annalise Quinn has always had the biggest crush on Griffin Finch. Sucks that he’d never given her the time of the day. Besides, even if he did, her best friend, Kyla, would never allow something like that!
The only thing that he did give her…? A drunken promise that if neither of them were married by the time that they were twenty eight then they would marry each other. He even makes her sign a silly piece of paper. A decade later, and he’s no longer the notorious playboy that he once was. He’s settled down and taken his rightful place as head of the company…but to become the full CEO there are a few stipulations.
Annalise running into Griffin the day before his mother’s wedding was purely accidental. She didn’t even recognize him at first.
But that didn’t stop her from being taken completely under his spell. He’s cocky and cold, yet their bantering ends with her in his bed.
When she goes for her first day of work the next week, she’s shocked to find that he’s her new boss, and he wants to make good on the pact that they made together almost a decade ago. Annalise thinks that he’s insane, but he tells her that it only has to be for six months and then she can leave…that way he can fill all of the requirements to take over the company.
Annalise refuses and he makes it clear that she either does this for him and he’ll give her the money she needs to start her art business or he’ll fire her and tell his sister that they slept together.
She can’t believe he would go through blackmail but agrees to his terms.
What she didn’t agree with is to give him her heart again…but not everything can be accounted for where love is involved.
